Caio Locke has a unique and epic style of painting. He combines architectural and geometric patterns together with a freedom of imagination and optimism. You can see existing cities with visible landmarks, but presented inside shamanic dreamworlds that bring light, colour and a utopian vision to the otherwise dreary brutalism of today's cityscapes.
Caio's artwork excites the imagination and leads the viewer into endless discoveries. Some parts of an image are realistic and some parts are optical illusions playing with perspective (‘Escher-like anomalies’). This bridges reality and fantasy in such a way as to keep your mind guessing and giving it the freedom to dream and to transcend the mundanity of modern life as we know it!
